16 things to accomplish in 2016

Can you believe that we are now closer to 2020 than we are to 2010? I can't, but that could also be because I graduated high school almost 6 YEARS ago in 2010. I'm feelin' really old, guys.

Despite this (and the fact that New Year resolutions are so last year), I'm coming up with 16 things I want to do in 2016 and putting them here on the internet. Let's go.

  1. Volunteer more of my time to people that need it. Shelters, friends that can use my skills, making gifts for people instead of buying them -- anything of that sort. I want to be more selfless in 2016.
  2. Only eat out for dinner if it's the weekend or with special company, and only once per week on weekdays (this will be hard)
  3. Take a dance class/find a dance studio
  4. Attend at least 6 concerts
  5. Visit 2 new cities
  6. Actually finish decorating the home I bought in 2015
  7. Read at least 12 books
  8. Finally make my parents their websites (sorry this has taken so long, Mom and Dad!)
  9. Try a new manicure style a month. No repeats. Can be inspired by other nail bloggers.
  10. Tackle that month long European/Canadian vacation footage and make something memorable out of it
  11. Clean out my bedroom back home (I feel like this is becoming more and more of a list geared towards making my mom, my only reader, happy. HI MOM. I'LL DO IT SOON I PROMISE)
  12. Develop professionally into someone I am proud of.
  13. Pick up blogging again, even if it's only a post per month
  14. Go back to my 2013 weight (graduation and post-grad kind of took its toll on my mental and physical health)
  15. Use my garden to make a meal (herbs count.)
  16. Make a "yearbook" of all the memories made in 2016, and continue to do so for following years.
I'll try to cross things off as I complete them. Maybe even blog about them? Who knows.
