polish addiction!

At any given time, my desk has known to look like the above (or any variation thereof). Recently, I've gotten much better at painting my own digits... and this is probably why! I find that when I'm at my desk (which is a lot) I am constantly changing my nail polish. In the past week alone, my nails have seen quite a variation of looks and I must say, a lot of the colors I used have been recent favorites. Upon realizing this, I thought... " hey, why not make a blog post about them?!"

(nail designs recapped from my instagram!)

So, ladies and gentlemen, children of all ages...
I welcome you to my desktop nail polish collection!

e.l.f. cosmetics "Mint Cream" // Seche Vite dry fast top coat // NYC "292 Tribeca Silver"

First on the list: my self-dubbed Tiffany & Co. manicure. Shown in the second instagram picture above, it's a combination of the absolute perfect minty blue color $3 will ever buy you and a glittery (but still easy to remove!) silver. Finish it off with Seche Vite and you're good to go!

E.l.f. is one of my favorite makeup companies (trust me, I blab about it all the damn time) and I'm so happy their nail polish is up to par as well. I got this recently along with a coral color and both hues have become a summer staple for me.

I don't know what exactly Seche Vite contains, and I've heard plenty of people say my first child is going to come out with 3 heads from using it so much, but it dries SO FAST and makes your nails SO GLOSSY! I've never used a topcoat like this before. It's my absolute favorite.

I picked up the NYC color because the magical CVS coupon machine gave me $2 off 2 NYC products (so essentially I got it for free... yay!) and I'm so glad I did. It's perfect for accent nails, and even a whole manicure if you're feeling adventurous.

Rimmel "130 French Lingerie" // China Glaze "Fast Track" (Hunger Games collection)

More favorites! I love layering these two on top of each other. "French Lingerie" really subdues the glitter in "Fast Track," but both look pretty on their own as well. Depending on how I'm feeling, I'll layer it with the white striper polish and make it a french or do some vertical black stripes for a more edgy (less feminine) design. It's all up to what you're going for, really. These hues are very versatile.

As far as striper polishes go, I recently picked these up and so far I'm pleased. I'm used to Stripe Rite polishes, but these get the job done. I cannot stand the Art Deco ones by L.A. Colors, though. Their brushes are constantly falling out on me and leaving me with little bristles in my designs. No thank you! I'd rather pay the extra $2-$3 for something that'll last. And I knew Milani would, so I grabbed these at CVS during my last trip.

So, that's it for now. I just looked over and spotted a stray bottle of polish I forgot to include. Sorry little guy, maybe next time. I haven't used you in a while anyway...

Tell me, what are your recent favorite hues/polishes/designs? Any suggestions for future posts? Let me know in the comments!

Hope you have a great one :)
