beauty blogger fall voxbox 2012: first impressions

If you haven't heard of Influenster before, it's about time you did. It's a great company that helps social networking extraordinaire get their feet wet in the public relation part of "blogging." Whether you're a bride-to-be, beauty guru or tech obsessed, there's an Influenster program for you.

I was recently given the opportunity to review a Beauty Blogger VoxBox, which is pictured below. If you're interested in what I got, individual pictures or first impressions, just hit the read more and continue on!

B&BW coupon and EBoost

First impression: YAY I can finally buy a candle without feeling guilty about splurging on two! And as for the powder... I don't really drink "boosting" drinks, but I'll give it a shot when I'm feeling sleepy. The packaging looks somewhat promising, though.

Price for full size: $28 for 20 powder packets, $39 for 30 packets or 12 shots.

Not Your Mother's
Smooth Moves Frizz Control Hair Cream

First impression: I've seen this everywhere and have been dying to try this line of hair products. And my hair is abnormally frizzy for this time of year. Win/win. Plus it smells like sweet coconut...yum!

Price for full size: $6.00 for a full sized 4oz bottle

Black Pepper Bergamot candle

First impression: EW! Who picked this scent?! However, it's been a few days and I think I'm starting to warm up to it. It's a very manly scent, like something you'd find in a men's cologne. Due to that, I find myself sniffing it when I miss my boyfriend (awwww)

Price for full size: $3.50 for mini candles (such as the one pictured above) or $19.50 for 3-wick version

Kiss Ever Pro Lashes (Starter Kit)

First impression: Holy cow those are some dramatic lashes! I liked the fact that they came with an applicator (as I am absolutely horrible at putting on falsies) and glue! All-in-one packages are awesome.

Price for full size: $5.99

Goody Simple Styles Spin Pin

First impression: My aunt told me about this contraption a while back and I haven't gotten around to trying them... until I got them with this VoxBox! I'm super excited to give them a shot, and they're supposed to be really easy to use and secure (especially for people with a lot of hair like myself)

Price for full size: $7.29

NYC IndividualEyes Custom Compact

First impression: The colors were a little boring, but I guess they're versatile. My package had melted a bit in my mail box thanks to the Florida heat, so the illuminator and base had sweat beads on them (as seen in the second picture) but the product still performed okay.

Swatches were done over the base from the package, and I only swiped my finger once across the shadow and then on my skin. The shadow wasn't too powdery, which was good! I probably wouldn't have picked this out in the store, but I'm excited to try this quad!

Price for full size: $4.99
